Jam beyond the borders of bread
Our Philosophy
Ann in a Jam is first and foremost a family business. A hobby that started in an apartment kitchen now has grown in ways we never dreamed possible. We have strived to carry that homemade flavor and feeling with us. We do not use any artificial flavors, preservatives or ingredients. To that end – we do not have any sugar free jams, nor are any of our seed fruit jams made seedless. All of our jams and jellies are made by hand in small batches. We twist on lids and stick on labels ourselves. Our goal is for our jams to bring back beautiful fond memories and make you feel something beyond enjoying our flavors.
“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”
- Ruth Reichl
No, we don’t make “plain strawberry” or “plain this jam or that jam”. The reason is simple: Strawberry Jam (for example) is delicious and with not a whole lot of looking you can find a great homemade “plain” strawberry jam from a maker near you – and I encourage you to do so! This frees me up to play with flavors and make things you might not have tasted before that will make you fall in love. Whenever possible we get our ingredients from as close to us as possible.
We source ingredients from local farms, orchards, farmers markets and specialty stores. We know most of the people who supply our ingredients by first name and handshake! All of this is to say, we make some of the finest jams and jellies you’ll ever have and we look forward to our products being some of those “always have a jar on hand” kinds of things for you!
